Forgiati Bullies

*NOT CURRENTLY BREEDING*

We are happy, and sad, to say that we are not currently breeding. We have put a pause on our breeding program until further notice. We've decided to prioritize ourselves and our lives. Don't worry, all is well, and we are doing better than ever! We just needed to step away to enjoy all of the great things going on in our lives. We will update our social media pages if/when we decide to come back.

Our Goal

Here at Forgiati American Bullies our puppies' new families are our top priority. We prioritize breeding dogs that fit the standard of our family dynamics, and only plan on producing puppies we anticipate people will love. From their family oriented tempers and instinctual loyalty to their owners, our puppies produced at Forgiati Bullies are believe to be stellar examples of what the American Bully was bred to be- a phenomenal companion.

Not only do our bullies do amazing in family environments, but we strive to breed for versatile dogs who may do well in the show ring, sports, or active homes.

The American Bully breed is lacking in quality, health tested bullies- which we're striving to change!

Genesis - 4 weeks old

Health Testing

Our adult dogs at Forgiati American Bullies undergo health testing and are cleared for genetic problems prior to breeding. We typically do a variation of hip testing (either OFA or PennHIP), OFA elbows, OFA cardiac, and OFA patella testing.

The amount of testing we do on each dog will vary based on availability, but in general, our American Bullies are health tested beyond the recommended tests for the breed.

We also use Embark Genetic Health testing to screen for genetic diseases they test for.

All of these tests ensure you have a healthy, sound family member for years to come. It may also save you thousands of dollars in vet bills you may otherwise spend if you purchase a bully from a backyard breeder who does not do the appropriate testing on their kennel.

Please don't support unethical breeders that aren't making efforts to better the breed as a whole, especially with American Bullies who are known for bad hips, elbows, and cardiac problems. Even just a genetic health test is making strides towards improving the American Bully gene pool.

Enriched Lives

Our dogs at Forgiati aren't just for breeding, they're family members. Along with routine veterinary checks, high quality kibble and raw diets, we provide our dogs with adequate enrichment to ensure they're living the happiest lives they can.

Our bullies frequently attend dog meet ups, meeting other local kennels or bully owners, go biking, chase flirtpoles, run freely for miles in rural fields, accompany us in (pet friendly) stores and outings, or just relaxing with us on the couch after a long day.

We want nothing but the best for our dogs, there's definitely a stigma around breeders "using" their dogs to make money and treating them poorly. However, at Forgiati American Bullies that just isn't the case <3

Your New Family Member Comes First

Your newest addition is our top priority, and to promote a solid and reliable temperament, we not only breed dogs we feel are very family oriented, but also raise our puppies doing Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) from 3-14 days old, and past 2 weeks somewhat similar protocols Puppy Culture stands by, with our own little twist.

While remaining safe and cautious of contractible puppy illnesses, the puppies are exposed to many different dogs, people, kids, environments, and sounds. The first 16 weeks of a puppy's life greatly influences and shapes who they are as an adult- and as their breeder it's our duty to set them up for success in the first 8-10 weeks!

Combating the Breed's Bad Reputation

Anyone that has owned a bully breed/bully breed mix knows of the bad reputation and stigma that they have, but anyone that has owned them also know what amazing dogs they truly are.

How are we working to combat their bad reputation? Forgiati only breeds dogs we would be comfortable sharing all aspects of with the public and potential buyers. This means admitting to their strengths and weaknesses, and not breeding dogs with ill tempers and health.

Our puppy contracts guarantee against genetic aggression/temperamental puppies, and we're always willing to educate and prove to the public when responsibly and ethically bred, (along with proper training ownership) these dogs are amazing.

Genetics play a huge role in a dog's temper as an adult (as well as how they're raised) so we selectively pick and choose who we breed together, not only to prioritize health and structure, but to produce puppies with predictable, promising temperaments.
